Our Pit Master, Richard Rodriguez, has over 38 years of competitive and catering barbecue cooking experience.  This native Texan knows his barbecue and uses his vast knowledge to smoke, braise, and slow cook some of the tastiest Texas barbecue in the Houston area! And as his sister-in-law for the past 18 years, I am speaking as someone who might be a tad biased, but I can assure you, nothing gets our family together faster than the words, “Richard is cooking”.

Chris Clarabut might be a bit younger than Richard, but he brings 10 or so years of experience in the restaurant industry in the Houston area.  Chris’ passion for food and attention to detail also make him an invaluable member of this food-loving duo.  The only things he loves more than feeding others are his wife and two boys, so he’s a true son of Texas.  And I’m not just saying that because he’s married to my niece, I promise!
